Corporate Overview

Background  

    Founded in April,1999, Shengong company is dedicated to solid waste disposal technology R&D, engineering design & construction, municipal solid waste equipment manufacture under the China Academy of Engineering Physics. Beginning in the 1990s, the former entity of Shengong company was actively involved in domestic environment industry development and conservation technology R&D, a decade¡¯s effort resulted in a solid base to further development in terms of MSW treatment technology and equipment R&D, project design and construction, marketing and professionals enhancement, leading technically in waste treatment industry nation-wide. Relying on Shengong Company¡¯s leading position in market and lack of competitive enterprise entry, Shengong Company has obtained contracts in the amount of over 300 million RMB, and expected to reach 500-600 million RMB very soon. Shengong company¡¯s existing net asset values amounts to 21 million RMB.

     Shengong company has successfully conducted a number of MSW disposal projects, promoting technology and equipment R&D improvement and domestic environment conservation technology development, Shengong brand name has enjoyed ever growing popularity, and Shengong company has become a best known company with respect to waste treatment in China, expanding rapidly into the 21st century.

     Shengong company¡¯s capital stock registered at 3 million RMB in total, among which the state owned partner contributes 58.2£¥while natural persons the remaining 41.8£¥.

     Shengong company has a team of well qualified professionals£¬four of them have been honored senior consultant professors in environment engineering.

     In addition, the following professors are employed as long term professional consultants: Mr. Chen nenkuan ( academician from China Engineering Academy), Mr. Gaocao ( research fellow from China Science Association), Mr. Quan hao( professor from Qinhua University), Mr. Nie yongfeng ( professor from Qinhua University), Mr. Wu xiangrao( professor from Chengdu Sciennce and Engineering University), Mr.Liu kexin (professor from Chengdu Biology Research Institute under China Science Academy).

¡ô MSW treatment equipment development, manufacture and marketing 

      Shengong company has developed MSW treatment equipment such as PD-30 plastic bag breaker (granted National New and Practical Invention Patent No. ZL 99231727.4), organic compound phosphorous fertilizer containing amino acid and MSW rotary kiln incinerator (pending National Invention Patent) and other proprietary equipment.

¡ô MSW facility operation (in BOT form£©

     Shengong company has invested 65 million RMB into the construction and operation of Mianyang Integrated MSW Facility (700t/d)-one of the key projects for environment industry development and infrastructure construction to develop Mianyang as the China Silicon Valley. Integrated treatment process is employed for the purposes of environmentally-friendly disposal and resource recovery in the facility, Shengong company is encouraged and 10 million RMB has been granted by the municipality to facilitate the construction, in addition, the Sichuan provincial Development and Planning Commission has approved and supported the facility construction by granting Western China Special National Bond in the amount of 20 million RMB. The facility is designed as domestic No.1 integrated MSW demonstration project and training base, characterized with reliable technology and operation performance helping to obtain larger market share for the company by popularizing the demonstration facility. 

Integrated Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Technology

Process Description 

    Municipal solid waste generated in Chinese cities are low in calorific value, high in water content and collected in plastic bags. Integrated MWS treatment process recovers recyclables by mechanical an manual separation, organic fraction are turned into compost and fertilizer by means of bio-digestion circulating into nature and improving farmland fertility, waste stream volume is largely reduced by incineration and heat energy is recovered in addition, residues are ultimately disposed of in landfill.

Technical Features

¡ôSophisticated technology is applied to separate impurities from the decomposable waste stream to ensure fertilizer quality, while heat value in flammables are greatly enhanced, the minimum heat value raised to 7,000kJ¡«12,000kJ/kg as a result£¬waste incineration greatly improved using multi-stage controlled air combustion technology.

¡ôCompost produced in the traditional way takes longer time and requires much land space, gas generated in the process could not properly treated, in contrast the comprehensive treatment process exercises control over the digestion process taking less time and land use compared with the traditional method, bacteria is added to accelerate digestion, in this way organic fraction is disposed of timely and properly.

¡ôThe existing compost contains a lot of toxic matter and impurities such as glass, plastics, battery due to the improper post treatment. The unvaried variety and lower fertility make it hard for peasants to use, making the majority of existing fertilizer facilities hard to maintain normal operation. In contrast, the comprehensive treatment option offers solution to the problem, grinding and pelletizing process is integrated and necessary elements are mixed in, making the fertilizer widely acceptable.

¡ôRecyclables reduce disposal cost. Higher efficiency in thermal utilization is made possible by taking advantage of the introduced incineration technology, energy consumption is minimized, flue gas emission is properly treated.

¡ôLandfill constitutes an integral part in the process, residues left from the treatment process is ultimately disposed of at landfill, eliminating potential adverse effect on  surrounding environment and land .

¡ôComposite separation system

Based on the size, specific gravity and shape of the waste stream components, various sorting means such as size separation, magnetic separation, specific gravity separation, suspension and manual separation are included in the process depending on waste stream variation, equipment like bag breaker, trommel screen, bounce/adherence and suspension separators have been developed for application. After going through front end separation process, organic fraction is concentrated up to 70%, the minimum heat value increased up to 7000¡«12000kJ/kg,  in addition, metal, glass and plastics are recycled, ash separated out. 

¡ôRapid bio-chemical treatment system

    Semi-dynamic fixed bed fermentation process dominates the entire process, it requires lesser land space, process proceedings and gas generation are under strict control due to the fact that whole system is totally sealed, among other things, waste water is circulated. Hazardous bacteria and worms contained in the waste stream are destroyed in 4 to 7 days, beneficial bacteria are added speeding up the fermentation, and the cycle takes about 14 to 18 days, entire process is automatically controlled and monitored. 

¡ôPyrolitic incineration and electricity generation

    Incineration proves effective in waste reduction and utilization, and consequently included in the treating process. Its efficiency is guaranteed by the optimal front end separation, flammables are concentrated after undergoing various separation processes and the heat value raised from 3500kJ/kg to 7000¡«12000kJ/kg on the average, ensuring the application of the sophisticated incineration technology. 

¡ôSecondary pollution control system

In-process pollution is properly treated, gas cleaning and absorbing technologies are applied in the front end separation and bio-chemical system, the adoption of the multi- stage controlled incineration technology eliminates Dioxin emission, hydrogen chloride, S02, hydrogen fluoride and particles are disposed of by chemical treatment application, and particles removal equipment is provided in the fertilizer production section. In addition, sewage plants are built by taking advantage of the self-developed Oxidation Ditch technology and electro convergence technology to treat sewage water, ensuring discharge is in accordance with relevant regulatory standards.  

¡ôFertilizer manufacture system

    This system consists of end products: compost, organic fertilizer, bio-fertilizer,  resource recovery is largely dependent on this system. 

¡ôResource and recycling system

This system deals mainly with resource and recyclables recovery.

     Waste stream in urban cities in China is low in calorific value, high in water content and collected in plastic bags, Shengong company has developed proprietary MSW treatment equipment by drawing on foreign technology in the past few years in response to the above mentioned waste stream characteristics, which are unique in structure and reliable in operation.

    This breaker efficiently releases waste contained in plastics bags and breaks down organic fraction of larger size at the same time, it is anti winding designed and overloading preventive.

¡ô GS£­25 special trommel screen£¨proprietary£©

    The screen distinguishes by additional functions as anti winding, waste spread and course grinding, flammables, kitchen waste and C&D waste are effectively separated at the same time.

¡ô PS-16 shredder£¨proprietary£©

     Bulky organic materials are shred into smaller sizes, leaving particles and brittle materials intact, even-size organic materials are definitely required to facility digestion and to ensure high quality fertilizer output.

¡ô SF£­4 fiber screen£¨proprietary £©

    This screen removes fiber-form residues like bottle lid and cigarette butt after compost drying and grinding to facilitate fertilizer production.

¡ô SHFS£­160 reciprocating incinerator£¨proprietary £©

    The incinerator can effectively cope with waste stream variations, it costs favorably compared with similar incinerator and easy for automatic control, the furnace is designed with inclination, longer stroke and higher falling distance, waste is preheated by combining air input and exhaust flue gas in the mixing chamber, meeting stringent requirement for MSW incineration-Time, Turbulance, Temperature. Air emission is up to air regulation by instant gas cooling and dry purification process, in addition, heat energy is recovered reducing operational cost. 

¡ô Pyrolytic incinerator£¨proprietary £©

    It is designed in cooperation with foreign environment companies using state-of-the ¨C art controlled air combustion technology, incoming waste is dried and combusted on the impulse impact grate with controlled temperature and insufficient air supply, complete combustion is guaranteed in the second and third combustion chamber with higher temperature and longer residence time, hazardous component emission such as dioxin is eliminated, meeting most stringent emission regulations and reducing flue gas treatment capital cost. 

 Technical Status-quo and Achievements

    Supported by the integrated technology superiority from China Academy of Engineering Physics, Shengong Company invested vastly in MSW treatment technology and equipment R&D by drawing on the updates in foreign countries and catering to domestic waste stream, successful operations in MSW facilities construction and operation benefit a lot in terms of social and economic gains.

    In 1995, Shengong Company was honored to be the contractor for national key technology R&D project- Integrated and Environmentally- Friendly MSW Treatment Technology and Equipment Development from the State Development and Planning Commission, and continued to undertake  state technology innovation project-Introduced Pyrolysis Incinerator Modification in 1000t/d MSW Facility, becoming No.1 bid winner in the nation-wide competitive bidding for best available technology to dispose of MSW in an environmentally¨Cfriendly manner organized in Sichuan province. Focusing on waste separation, rapid aerobic and anaerobic digestion, organic fertilizer production, incineration, thermal energy and bio-gas recovery, plastic recycling, residues utilization and process related pollution elimination, Integrated and Environmentally- Friendly  MSW Treatment Technology and Equipment Development has been successfully developed in cooperation with China Science Academy, China Agricultural Science Academy and environment conservation and sanitation agencies, responding to Chinese economic development and resources conservation strategy (Please refer to the following two tables for detail).
