Equipment Shengong company has developed proprietary equipments for MSW separation and disposal in the past few years, and patents have been awarded for the equipments. ¢ Material Recovery Facility Wastes contained in plastics are separated and contents are released by mechanical and manual means under negative pressure in the material recovery facility. Ø Bag Breaker Bag Breaker shreds organic material of larger size and featured as below: a. Selective shredding function, avoiding brittle materials such as glass and hard things like batteries to facilitate subsequent processing. b. Anti winding and automatic cleaning for continuous operation
Ø Trommel Screen The trommel screen has the selective shredding function, putrescible organics of larger size are properly shredded by taking advantage of material size differences, in addition, automatic cleaning prevents clogging on the mesh.
Ø Eddy Current Separator Eddy current separator is used for non-ferrous metal separation, when the magnetic field passes through a conductor, induction generates electricity which generates a sub magnetic field repulsing the original field which is used to separate non-ferrous metal.
Ø Magnetic Separator Drum separator and suspended separator can effectively separate the ferrous metal from the feed stream.
Ø Manual Separation
Manual and mechanical separation combine to maximize separation, for this reason there are designed two manual separation belts under negative pressure in Mianyang integrated MSW facility. ¢ Fermentation and Composting
In the facility secondary aerobic fermentation process is employed to produce compost. The first aerobic fermentation process is designed to stay for 10 days, and organics after separation are fed into the fermentation silos where wastes are spread out by way of spreader, air is supplied by blowers, the entire process is automatically controlled in respect of temperature, water content, oxygen content, pH value and CO2 content, order is removed by soil adsorption. The second aerobic fermentation process is designed to last for 10 days, where turners are used for turning, wastes are conveyed by cranes and automatic control is applied in terms of velocity change through alternating frequency and hydraulic transmission. Ø Automatic turner Automatic turner is used for wastes turning and moving in the second aerobic fermentation process, the turner is designed to automatically grab and level out wastes, in addition, it is able to lower and retract its head to the height of waste piles.
¢ Incineration Ø Reciprocating incinerator (150t/d) Combustibles are moved, dried, incinerated by the reciprocating grate, the incinerator can cope with various components in lower heating value from both MSW and industrial wastes, capital and operating costs are low in comparison with similar incinerators.
Ø Rotary kiln incinerator (20t/d) for hazardous wastes incineration Rotary kiln incinerator is widely used for liquid and solid wastes incineration, specifically applicable to solid wastes incineration with higher water content. Rotary kiln incinerator rotates at lower speed to maximize wastes movement and turning in the incinerator to allow wastes for through exposing to combustion air for effective combustion, flue gas is combusted in the second chamber for enough time before being released into air. In addition, rotary kiln incinerator is easy to operate and control, for rotation speed change will make change in the residence time and mixing to meet demands for effective combustion of different waste components. Rotary kiln incinerator is purposely designed for longer service life and no frequent repair is asked for operation as there is no moving parts as grate operating in high temperature.
Ø Medical waste incinerator (0-10t/d) Medical waste incinerator is advantageous and competitive in comparison with similar incinerators in it¨s unique design and incineration, exhaust gas is charged directly to air with no need for stack and no grate is designed for the incinerator, the waste is fed automatically preventing pollution to surrounding environment and ambient air, no harm is done to operators. The incineration process is automatically controlled starting from ignition to flue gas discharge, feeding system is totally sealed and what is distinctively different from similar incinerators is cyclone way of incineration to guarantee complete combustion. Furthermore, the incinerator has three chambers to ensure flue gas complete combustion and enough residence time, exhaust gas is fully treated before release into air.
